Having kimchi for the first time in a Korean stew. It’s pretty good. Used nori sheets for the broth as a base. Very interesting flavors.

Trying to reserve a copy of Matthew Perry’s biography at the library, currently already lent out.
I usually hate it when people get disproportionally upset about a celebrity’s death as if they knew them personally, but Matthew Perry’s passing really saddens me. Particularly because he was far too young to die, and because of his lifelong struggle with addiction and psychological issues. That sort of thing hits home. When I read about how he was struggling with painful loneliness, I know that kind of thing all too well. I want to live in a world where people with these issues are helped in overcoming them, not one where they’re found dead in their own jacuzzi.
Absolutely devastated by the news 💔
Thank you, Matthew Perry (August 19, 1969 - October 28, 2023)
It’s way too early for Christmas but the large garden center I went to today had a huge Christmas section that really put me in the mood for the holidays. At one exhibit they built a large mountain full of tiny houses and figurines. Everything moved, everywhere were little lights and fake snow. It had all these old-fashioned houses and shops, things like a ferris wheel and merry-go-rounds, winter sport related items. Very nostalgic and cute.
Also had a tiramisu-flavored coffee dessert that was delicious. Usually I prefer to keep Christmas out the door as long as I can, but this year I’m really in the mood for holiday fun. Guess the holidays are more fun when life’s better.
